What This Collection Covers
The Haven Clinician case studies are designed to be worked through in sequence or individually. They begin with foundational clinical skills (assessment, diagnosis, documentation) and extend into the therapeutic modalities a practicum student will encounter in real supervision — CBT, DBT, EMDR, psychodynamic therapy, twelve-step-informed frameworks, and trauma-focused CBT — with an emphasis on when and why a clinician shifts between them.
Each case study includes narrative content, sample BIRP-format progress notes, reflection questions, and an innovation challenge that asks students to design features for Haven Clinician itself — always under the principle that a clinical tool should help a clinician think, not think for them.

A multi-step interactive walkthrough that takes practicum students through a mock client encounter — from intake and screening (PHQ-9, GAD-7, C-SSRS) through DSM-5 diagnostic reasoning, ICD-10 coding, evidence-based treatment planning, and AI-assisted progress-note documentation.
